All financial donations to the relief fund will support nonprofit organizations providing aid and recovery services to Hillsborough County residents, such as Salvation Army and American Red Cross. Funds collected will go directly to residents through the nonprofit organizations and will not be used for any governmental services or administrative costs.
Funding will be authorized by a committee consisting of representatives from the following Hillsborough County departments and boards:
- Management & Budget
- Economic Development
- Social Services
- Homeless & Community Services
- Government Relations & Strategic Services
- Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Office of Emergency Management
- Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) Board
Donations can also be made to the Hillsborough County Disaster Relief Fund by mail. Please make checks payable to “Hillsborough County Disaster Relief Fund” and mail to:
