Receives BOOST Grant for Sarasota Guardianship
Lutheran
Services Florida (LSF) has received a grant of nearly $30,000 from the
Community Foundation of Sarasota County as part of their "Building
Organizations' Operational Strength Today" (BOOST) initiative. The
grant will be used to purchase laptops for case workers in LSF's
Guardianship program in Sarasota.

1 Is World AIDS Day
The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated Dec. 1 each year as
World AIDS Day "to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and demonstrate
international solidarity in the face of the pandemic."

National Runaway Prevention Month
Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) and
National Safe Place (NSP) are jointly observing November as National
Runaway Prevention Month. "Each year an estimated 2 million youth run
away," stated a press release on the month-long observance by NSP.
