5-Year Strategic Plan Adopted by LSF Board of Directors
A
bold five-year Strategic Plan was adopted Jan. 23 by the Board of Directors of
Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) that is intended to chart the course in this time
of economic uncertainty. While acknowledging the challenge of the
times, the plan is committed to expansion and growth of ministries as
populations that are served by LSF are also expanding as a result of the
economic crisis.

Staff Goes Extra Mile for Former Sudanese Refugee
The year 2008 was not a good year for
former Sudanese refugee Ibrahim Yagoub, and his wife and two children.
As reported in an article in the St. Petersburg Times on December 30, Yagoub
lost his job, and then the family lost the home that they had purchased to
foreclosure, and then his wife Khadiga was hospitalized at Tampa General
just before Christmas with an unknown disease and that's where she remains
today as she undergoes tests.
