Joint Project of Apostles Lutheran, LSF
Nearly a year to the day after ground breaking, Apostles Village was dedicated on June 7 in Brandon, FL to provide low-income housing for the elderly. About 225 people attended. More than 225 people gathered at the University of South Florida (USF) on June 19 to commemorate World Refugee Day, annually designated on June 20 by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to honor refugees worldwide. This year's event carried the theme "Real People, Real Needs" and was jointly sponsored by Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) and the USF International Affairs Department.
